Yes—supports parallel and series stacking with master/slave setups and full voltage/current sharing, in rack-mount or bench mounting with no spacing required between units.

Yes. It has standard remote sensing for accurate load voltage and includes an interlock input for enhanced safety.

What interfaces are available?

Comes with analog programming (rear D-sub). Optional modules include RS‑232, IEEE‑488, Ethernet (with sequencer), CAN, Profibus, and isolated analog I/O.

What built-in protections does it include?

Includes protection for overload, short-circuit, over-temperature, phase-loss, AC failure, and hold‑up timing for stable operation.

The Delta Elektronika SM6000 Series of Programmable DC Power Supplies will cease production in February 2026. Please place last orders for the SM6000 series as soon as possible, so that we can plan production accordingly until February. We currently have limited stock of finished product. These will be used to fulfill orders until they are gone.

The new generation of 6kW power supplies, the SM6K, will offer many more capabilities and functionality than its predecessor, the SM6000 series, at a strongly reduced form factor. This eases integration into existing systems.

Please use the table below to determine the model number for the SM6K Series based on the SM 6000 model. Thanks to autoranging, multiple older models can be replaced by a single version of the new series.

All SM6000 interface options have an equivalent or extended function in the SM6K interface module family. An example of possible interfacing replacements is shown in the table below.

Inreased Output Power

The conservatively rated unit allows to deliver extra output with the same reliability. At some derating, either the maximum output voltage or the maximum output current can be increased by about 10%.

High Speed Programming

A 10 to 20 times higher programming speed (down to 0.4ms rise time at full load) and lower output capacitance¹). Excellent for laser applications, test systems or as current source with low parallel capacitance as used in plasma chambers.

Two-Quadrant Output Power Sink

Two quadrant operation maintains the DC output voltage constant regardless the output power is positive or negative¹). Ideal for PWM-speed controlled DC-Motors and ATE systems.

Digital CV- and CC-Settings

Reliable, long-life digital encoders can be implemented at the front panel. Includes total front panel lock (also for CV- / CC-knobs) and a coarse or fine pitch adjustment depending on the turning speed. Is standard on SM300-20 and SM600-10.

Secured Voltage and Current Settings

For maximum security, the CV/CC settings can be adjusted with a screwdriver only and are protected with a plastic cap from accidental adjusting. SM300-20, SM600-10 and units with option P220 already have secured settings.
