Intepro Systems

Power test & automated test equipment

Test systems specified from the clause you have to satisfy.

Programmable AC and DC sources, regenerative electronic loads and turnkey automated test systems — built on universal buses, so a test program outlives the instruments that ran it.

An Intepro five-bay power supply test system: instrument racks with programmable sources, electronic loads, oscilloscope and a test-executive screen reading PASS
A delivered five-bay PSU test system — sources, loads, measurement, switching and the test executive that runs them.

What makes this site unusual

Every figure carries the clause it came from.

Specifications on this site trace to a published standard or to Intepro’s own datasheet, and the source travels with the number. A build gate rejects any figure that does not — which is a constraint on us, and a shortcut for you.

What Intepro does

Since 1981, Intepro has supplied automated test systems to manufacturers worldwide for testing power electronics. The expertise is in moving and measuring power — characterisation of power components, environmental stress screening, production test and repair.

Systems are designed and integrated to a requirement rather than sold from a catalogue: chassis, sources, loads, measurement, switching, fixturing and the test executive that drives them, delivered as a working rack against an agreed acceptance procedure.

Open architecture, so the system outlives the instruments

Intepro systems are built on universal buses — VXI, PXI, LXI, CAN, Ethernet, GPIB and Serial — rather than one vendor's ecosystem. Off-the-shelf instrumentation integrates alongside Intepro and customer hardware. The practical consequence is that a test program is not hostage to a discontinued instrument: the same program runs across testers, and a rack can be re-equipped without rewriting the test.

PowerStar has been the test executive for power electronics work for over twenty years. Programs written fifteen years ago have an upgrade path to current hardware.

Capability & registration

What comes with the system

A rack is delivered, calibrated, installed and supported — and the engineers who inherit it are trained on it.

All services
  • Calibration Services

Full calibration for all Intepro test systems. Most systems calibrate in less than a day.

  • Installation & Relocation

Installation performed on-site by a service engineer, or supervised remotely where that suits the programme better.

  • Maintenance Support & Upgrades

Maintenance contracts and professional upgrades — the path that keeps a long-lived rack current rather than replaced.

  • Project Management

Management of most aspects of a project, so transitioning onto a new test system is not left to your engineers alone.

  • Test Programs & Fixtures

Test program development and fixturing, up to a full turnkey solution where the requirement calls for it.

  • Training Courses

Training for the engineers who will own the system after handover — the difference between a delivered rack and a used one.
