About Intepro Systems
Since 1981, Intepro has supplied automated test systems to manufacturers worldwide for testing power electronics. The expertise is in moving and measuring power — characterisation of power components, environmental stress screening, production test and repair.
Intepro began in Ireland, spent a period inside a larger group, and in 2006 bought its test-systems division back to run independently. It has stayed that way since — small and senior by design, with sales and support offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland and China, alongside a network of independent representatives and distributors.
The mission has not moved much: solve a customer's specific power-testing problem using expertise in high-energy and analog environments, and do it affordably enough that aerospace, renewable-energy, military and OEM power programmes can actually buy it.
Open architecture, so the system outlives the instruments
Intepro systems are built on universal buses — VXI, PXI, LXI, CAN, Ethernet, GPIB and Serial — rather than one vendor's ecosystem. Off-the-shelf instrumentation integrates alongside Intepro and customer hardware. The practical consequence is that a test program is not hostage to a discontinued instrument: the same program runs across testers, and a rack can be re-equipped without rewriting the test.
PowerStar has been the test executive for power electronics work for over twenty years. Programs written fifteen years ago have an upgrade path to current hardware.
Universal buses rather than one vendor's ecosystem — the reason a program written years ago still has somewhere to run.
How a system gets built
- 01
Requirement
You bring the test requirement — clauses, DUT, power envelope, cadence. Where the requirement is still forming, that conversation is part of the work.
- 02
Specification
We specify chassis, hardware, software and fixturing against it, and tell you plainly where something needs hardware we would not supply.
- 03
Integration
The rack is built and the sequences written, with the test executive doing the work rather than a pile of scripts.
- 04
Acceptance
Delivered against an agreed acceptance test procedure, with witness testing where the programme calls for it.
