Replacing the NH Research 9200

What happened to it
ni.com does not appear in results for this model at all. The line is noted end-of-life and the SERP belongs entirely to resellers.
The substitution that goes wrong
Module test programmes live on throughput. A replacement with the same power and half the channels doubles your qualification calendar, which is a schedule problem long before it is a technical one.
Specifications to match
- Module voltage window, which is where 9200 racks were usually configured tightly
- Channel count — module test is throughput-bound, not power-bound
- Fixture and sense-lead reuse from the existing rack
- Data schema compatibility so historical results stay comparable
Before you swap the hardware
A replacement that matches on headline power can still fail on the details that keep an existing rack working.

Where this one stops
Module test is where channel count usually decides the outcome, and a system with the same total power and a different channel split is not a substitute. If your 9200 was configured for a channel count we cannot match in one chassis, say so early rather than at acceptance.
